**Job summary**:
The Genomics Sequencing Services in the UKHSA are seeking a S**LIMS Product Owner on fixed term appointment until Mar-2024, **to have responsibility for supporting the efficient national laboratory operation and delivery of the UKHSA Genomics services under the Direction of the Deputy Director for the COVID-19 Genomics Sequencing Services in the UKHSA. This comprises of a high throughput and regional sequencing capacity and capability in support of the COVID response.

The work of the genomics sequencing services is to support UKHSA’s genomics surveillance programmes, to aid detection of outbreaks and transmission of infections, to characterise and correlate genomics to virulence and antimicrobial resistance mechanisms efficiently and effectively, and generate evidence to support effective interventions, all within the wider UKHSA objective, to significantly reduce their overall public health burden.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Work alongside current NGS LIMS team to:

- **
- Liaise with UKHSA Information Communication Technology (ICT) system support staff and local site administrators to ensure the infrastructure and network is working appropriately and LIMS is available
- Manage system parameterisation and configuration in response to requests from superusers

**Work alongside current NGS LIMS support staff to implement new developments and enhancements by**:

- Liaison with stakeholders to gather requirement
- Working to develop and test enhancemen

**Work alongside current NGS-LIMS team to gather requirements for business and other reports by**:

- Liaison with stakeholders to gather requirements and submit to NGS management staff for action
- Working alongside stakeholders and users/ management to develop business report

**Maintain NGS-LIMS documentation**
- Review NGS-LIMS SOP’s and documentation annually and amend based on changes to functionality or in line with new developments or system upgrade
