Sales Associate

The fifth generation of TA Mercer are looking to build their Sales team with an individual who can impart enthusiasm and knowledge about our products to our customers, building rapport and relationships with them, and be driven to meet & exceed their expectations.

You’ll mostly be working on the Shop floor, but you may also be found in the workshop, changing batteries, polishing or working with the Workshop team to meet customer requirements.

On the floor, you provide advice to customers to guide them towards brands or products - this could be anything from the couple looking for their wedding rings, helping pick out the perfect present for that special someone, or marking a noteworthy occasions with something to treasure.

We’re ideally looking for an individual with previous customer service experience, not necessarily in this area, but most important is someone who would be willing to learn about our brands, and be committed to meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations, with a positive attitude and flexible approach to their work. You need to be an excellent communicator, well presented and have a strong work ethic, valuing integrity, teamwork and reliability. It is also desirable to have attained GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at C level or above, and have previous experience of electronic point of sale systems, and iPad operation.
