Finishing Operative

**Overview**

As part of a small team within the Finishing department the purpose of this role is ensure the cloth is finished to its highest quality and standard. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a conscientious approach to work and a real focus on quality and delivering excellence. Flexibility and a strong team working ethic are essential. Experience would be preferable but full training will be given.

**Role and Responsibilities**

This is not an exhaustive list of duties but gives an outline of the role and responsibilities of this position.

**Main Duties**
- Ability to locate/identify the correct pieces of fabric for scheduling
- Ability to manually handle fabric into and out of the machines.
- Well organised and efficient in emptying pieces into carts.
- Following Procedures on batch cards for different fabric qualities and updating accordingly when the process is complete.
- Assisting in general duties in the factory (multiskilling)
- Keeping the machine in a clean and safe condition
- Adhering to all policies and safe systems of work as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Flexibility working across all departments to meet the needs and requirements of the business.
- Ensuring storage is such that it keeps walkways and access points clear.
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated

Qualifications and Education Requirements
