The Escapade Group own and operate 5 visitor attractions within the M25. We welcome over 1,000,000 people a year through our doors and host over 3000 birthday parties a year. We are a young company and have further plans for growth over the next few years.

Based at Hobbledown, Epsom the role of kitchen team member is to provide high standards of food hygiene in a quick and efficient manner, whilst providing a safe environment. Full training will be provided. As well as cooking and serving food for visitors, you must also ensure that safety and cleanliness are always maintained to a high standard in the kitchen and around the site.

Position Summary - Scope of Job

You will be expected to participate in the day-to-day operational duties of the kitchen team whilst providing an exceptional guest experience and supporting The Escapade Group's Mission Statement. You will be required to ensure the correct completion of audits and daily tasks. You will always follow all recipes and operating procedures to cook quality food for our food and beverage outlets whilst maintaining the prepared food levels to the minimum requirements, yet you are able to increase these in line with increased demand. You will be multi trained in different sections of the kitchen such as fryers, food preparation, pot wash and receiving deliveries.

Starting Salary: Reviewed after 3 months

Main Responsibilities

1. Customer Service
- Report any issues or problems to the Line Manager to drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and demonstrate positive body language to all visitors whilst inside and outside of the kitchen.
- Drive and encourage positive online social media reviews such as Trip Advisor, Facebook, and Google.
- Strive to reduce waiting times for food by increasing production during busy times.
- Escalate any visitor issues to the Line Manager if unable to resolve and conclude.
- Call for First Aid assistance should any accidents or incidents occur.

2. Presentation & Standards/Cleanliness
- Ensure cleanliness standards are always maintained to a high standard and take pride in the appearance of the kitchen.
- Use the cleaning equipment as per manufactures instructions
- Dispose of all rubbish and waste correctly.
- Ensure the kitchen cleanliness is always maintained.
- Attend to spills on surfaces and floors immediately after the occurrence.
- Handle cleaning materials and chemicals correctly and in line with COSHH training

3. Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure the correct completion of audits and daily tasks.
- Ensure that you are completing weekly department-specific tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard
- Ensure that all temperature checks are completed and documented during daily operation.
- Follow all standard operating procedures whilst maintaining excellent levels of cleanliness and hygiene whilst storing, preparing, cooking and providing food for our guests.
- Always maintain the prepared food levels on the pass to the minimum requirements whilst remaining flexible to increase these in line with increased demand during busy times.
- Ensure that all orders received to the kitchen are dispatched in a timely manner and any low stock items are raised in advance to the Line Manager to ensure that guest impact is reduced.

4. Health and Safety- Responsible for complying with the company policy regarding Health and Safety.
- Ensure job role is performed safely in line with the standard operating procedure and any specific safety controls.
- Ensure hygiene standards are adhered to in specific work areas.
- Report any Health and Safety issues, potential hazards, accidents or near misses to your Line Manager, Duty Manager, or member of the Management Team immediately.
- Always be prepared for an internal or external food safety inspection.
- Applicants Must be 18+

The job holder will perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the General Manager or Director of the business.
