**Family Support Initiative Advisor East Renfrewshire: Job Description**

We are looking to increase our staff resources in the East Renfrewshire area. Reporting to the Project Leader this is an exciting time to join our team to play an active role in the new Family Support Initiative programme which provides a specialist employability and skills service for parents, across East Renfrewshire. Our key objective is to support and motivate parents towards pathways for vocational training, further education, or work experience making sustainable employment a realistic and desired option. The Programme brings together a wider support network of Specialist organisations to support families and provide support with things like Mental Health, Debt, Housing, Parenting, Convictions, Disabilities and Benefits etc. to help overcome barriers and achieve their individual goals.

This role will focus on end-to-end support to parents and families.

Main Duties

Manage a caseload of customers to ensure support is provided to progress parents to a positive destination through a robust action plan to employment, education, or training.

Address barriers to employment, utilising the already established relationships with stakeholders within East Renfrewshire and develop new relationships to continue to grow the support offer.

Observe and adhere to our customer service standards so that all customers are provided with the same high standard of service that maximizes their chances of securing sustainable employment, training or education

Maintain IT files and customer records to a required quality standard to ensure the customer journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards

Identify employment and opportunities with employers and stakeholders through marketing parents directly

Ensure compliance with our company policies (including Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Data Security)

Do you have the following Knowledge/Experience?
- Experience of working in the employability industry for at least 2 years is desirable
- Experience of delivering workshops to client groups
- Good communication & interpersonal skill
- Ability to be flexible in approach to work
- Good reporting & recording skills
- The ability to build rapport with a can-do attitude
- Knowledge and experience in all Microsoft packages with a methodical approach to working
- Target driven environment
- Full Driving licence and access to a car for business use

**Job Types**: Full-time - contract valid till 31st March 2024

**Salary**: £23,500.00 per year

Monday to Friday

Driving Licence (Essential)

Work Location: Hybrid - will be based in our Barrhead office with travel across the community required.
