The Receptionist for the House Spa is responsible for welcoming the guest in person and on the telephone to the Spa. The Receptionist makes reservations and takes monies whilst nurturing the guests during their visit ensuring their happiness and desire to return. The Receptionist supports the spa team in meeting budgetary and performance targets through up selling and promoting spa services and product at every opportunity. The Spa team mirror the ethos of the Hotel, is that the service offered by all team members is personal, memorable, and anticipatory.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- _To ensure that guests are always warmly and positively welcomed and that all services are offered to nurture their relaxation, comfort, and enjoyment in the spa._
- _To ensure that the impression of the Spa created either on the telephone or in person leaves a lasting positive impression._
- _To ensure that all complaints are acknowledged and reported to the management team and an immediate response is provided to the guest to ensure service recovery._
- _To use the consultation forms always provided ensuring accurate recording and addressing any contra-indications with the client._
- _To treat with confidentiality any information disclosed by guests during their visit._
- _To ensure that the reception area and telephones are always manned._
- _To ensure that there is co-ordination between the reception, therapy and spa attendant teams regarding guest information / preferences / requests and guest whereabouts._
- _To always be an asset to the Spa enhancing the reputation._
- _To make reservations and follow up all enquiries to maximize productivity._
- _To up sell spa services_
- _To advise all guests on the most suitable and advantageous homecare products and routine_
- _To ensure all bills are accurate and presented according to the agreed standard._
- _To accurately carry out end of day procedures._
- _To be responsible for the recording of personal guest data to aid business initiatives_
- _To ensure all agreed collateral is available and up to date._
- _To assist in the security of products, amenities, and collateral_
- _To assist and support the team._
- _To ensure the agreed presentation cleanliness and hygiene of the spa reception_
- _To attend and participate in a training and development programme to ensure full understanding of the House Spa treatment menu, competency in product knowledge, sales protocols, and spa operations._
- _To participate in and experience spa treatments_
- _To participate in additional training sessions as required._
- _To promote a structured positive working environment_
- _To communicate in a positive and constructive manner with all working colleagues and clients ensuring a co-operative team effort in the daily operations._
- _To set a high personal standard of presentation._

**Working hours**:

- 5 days out of 7, 40-hour contract.
