**Background Information**
Fortalice was established in 1977 to provide emergency accommodation and support for women and children experiencing domestic abuse within their own homes.
The organisation has expanded over the past years and now provides a wide range of services for adults, families, children and young people within both the Refuge and the Outreach Support Centre. The ethos of Fortalice in relation to support is to focus on self-help, promoting self-esteem, confidence and independence to enable victims to break free from abusive relationships and reduce the chance of re-victimisation thus moving on to a self-sustaining, independent life.
**Project Worker - Outreach Adults**
**17.5 hours - permanent post**
**£12 per hour**
**Fortalice has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Project Worker to work within the Outreach Adults Team. The post primarily involves providing support, information and guidance to clients at their first contact with the organisation.**
**Purpose of the role**:
- To work with victims of domestic abuse at their first point of contact to the organisation
- To undertake one to one advice and guidance sessions, completing risk assessments and safety planning to minimise risk
**Key skills**:
- Excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on victims and their children
- Experience of completing risk assessments and safety planning
- Experience of managing crisis calls from clients in a vulnerable or distressed state
- A sound understanding of partnership working within Bolton and the ability to make appropriate referrals to support victims and their children
- The post may possibly be based across two sites. A current valid driving licence and the ability to provide a suitable vehicle for work with insurance cover for business use is desirable
