**Position Title**: Locum Junior Doctor (ST1/ST2)

**Location**: [NHS TRUST]

**Duration**: Long term Contract

We are currently recruiting Junior Grade doctors (SHO) required to cover on Long-term role and Ad-hoc basis across region. We have shifts for long-term, Short-term and Ad hoc role at various locations. General & Acute Medicine, Elderly Care, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Stroke Medicine, General surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics and psychiatry shifts available

**Clinical Responsibilities**:Provide medical care to patients under the supervision of more senior doctors.
Participate in patient rounds, ward duties, and outpatient clinics.
Perform procedures and treatments as appropriate for the level of training and competence.
Work in various departments, gaining exposure to different specialties.

**Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration**:Work closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and senior doctors.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.

**Training and Education**:Engage in ongoing training and education to develop medical knowledge and skills.
Attend teaching sessions, workshops, and conferences as required.
May be involved in teaching and supervising more junior staff or medical students.

**Administrative Duties**:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Complete discharge summaries and referral letters.
Participate in audit and quality improvement activities within the department.

**On-Call Duties**:Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours care as needed.
Manage acute medical situations with the support of senior staff.

**Qualifications**:
**Medical Degree**:A recognized medical degree from a reputable institution.

**Registration**:Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK, or eligibility for registration.
Evidence of Foundation Year 1 and 2 competencies, or equivalent experience.

**Clinical Experience**:Prior experience in clinical medicine, commensurate with an ST1/ST2 level doctor.

**At least 6 months of NHS experience as an SHO or equivalent junior doctor role. Otherwise will results in Rejection**

**Skills and Competencies**:Clinical competence and the ability to manage common medical conditions.
Good communication skills, including proficiency in English.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required.

**Personal Qualities**:Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Adaptability, especially important in a locum role where you may work in various settings.
Empathy and the ability to provide patient-centered care.

**Desirable Qualifications**:Additional qualifications or experience in a specialty relevant to the role can be advantageous.
Evidence of participation in research or quality improvement projects.

**Additional Requirements**:

- **DBS Check**: A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is often required.
- **Health Clearance**: Fitness to practice, which includes occupational health clearance.
- **References**: Typically, two professional references are required.

**Salary**: £45.93-£55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
