**About us**

Rico Coffee is a small, independent coffee shop in business in Ewell. We are dedicated to serving exceptional coffee and a tasty food menu, W pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering high standards of customer service. We are looking for someone to join our friendly team from the middle of June.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies and milkshakes
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- Prepare hot and cold food
- Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service and a welcoming environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cafe including coffee preparation area and kitchen
- Handle cash and card transactions using a cash register and card machine

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Previous experience preparing food is preferred
- Basic maths skills for cash
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Experience in opening and closing a similar business would be desirable, including cafe set up and till reporting

**Shifts**:

- Weekday shifts range fro 8.5 - 9.5 hours. Opening shift is 6.45am-3pm, closing shift is 8.30am-6pm.
- Weekend shifts vary from 5-7 hours
- We are seeking someone to work 2-3 shifts per week, including some weekends

We offer competitive pay rates guided by the national minimum wage and flexible scheduling as well as meals and drinks when on shift. We also offer an employee discount.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 25 per week
