**About Us**

Tender Care is an Ofsted rated 'Good' 31 place, private day nursery, located within 10 minutes walk from Croydon town centre. We offer full time and part time care to children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age. We have since expanded our care to two additional settings.

We are looking for someone to be part of our nursery team and community and we offer training and ongoing professional development plus workplace pension. **The Job**

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic unqualified nursery practitioners to join our private day care settings in Croydon as an apprentice. Often our apprentices go on to stay with us for many years and progress within the setting to senior positions.

As a trainee nursery practitioner you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children. Some of the duties will include:

- Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
- Ensure health and safety and well-being of the children.
- Support the children's development, learning and play.
- Be a key person for a small group of children, carrying out all related responsibilities and building relationships with them and their families.
- Providing inspiration to nursery children through exciting activities in all areas of learning whilst incorporating the EYFS.
- We are looking for unqualified persons with a passion for childcare and willing to train towards your Level 2 and/or 3 Diploma and all necessary academic qualifications alongside (i.e. Maths, English)

**The following are also desirable**:

- To have worked with under 5's in a nursery environment.
- Good written and verbal communication in English.
- Possess a some knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Planning skills /experience.
- Possess a rolling DBS
- Paediatric First Aid
- Safeguarding Children

**Other**:
Salary range above NMW for apprentice £6.00 ++

40 hours a week 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday-Friday. Flexibility is essential - Typical shift eg: 08:00-17:00, 08:30-17:30, 08:45-17:45, 09:00-18:00
