My client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team available to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's hybrid IT infrastructure ensuring that the network (LAN/WAN), servers and related computing platforms areperforming, secure and highly available. To install, maintain, upgrade, administrate and continuously improve the Companies IT operating environment. To provide third line support, guidance, and advice to end users, within the Digital and Technical Services(DTS) teams and technical projects.

**Key Skills**:

- Understanding of project management methodologies.
- Experience of using Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows OSes).
- Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of RedHat and Ubuntu Linux
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS technologies with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience setting up, configuring, and administering server virtualisation technologies.
- Experience of Microsoft MEMCM (SCCM)
- Experience of using PowerShell for scripting.
- Experience of managing an enterprise backup solution.
- Experience of Oracle and MS SQL database platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To deploy new technologies in support of the Companies Digital Strategy by designing, configuring, testing, and installing the networks (data, voice and wireless), servers, PCs, operating systems and related utilities and hardware.
- To maintain, upgrade and administer the Companies networks and operational IT systems, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance, and security of the infrastructure in accordance with DTS policies and standards.
- To manage the maintenance and upgrade work on the Companies networks and data centres, working with third party contractors, as directed by the Head of Technology, to ensure a high standard of work for installations and configurations.
- To provide third line support for the IT infrastructure and systems, troubleshooting problems as reported via the Service Desk, carrying out problem solving and configuration tasks to ensure the availability of critical services.
- To train IT Operations staff proactively on new technologies to ensure they can deliver first and second line support effectively to minimise the demand on the Infrastructure and Systems Team.
- To support the technical delivery of approved small projects (e.g. installations) ensuring that the agreed objectives are delivered within the agreed project scope.
- To provide expert advice and guidance to DTS management teams in support of the strategic planning process and in support of technical change projects.
- To keep the Head of Technology informed at all times of any performance issues, security concerns or future IT infrastructure system developments which may affect the Company.
- To update the CMDB (Configuration Manager Database solution), incident management tools and all other relevant Service Desk systems, ensuring that updates are accurate and in accordance with DTS policies and standards.
- To provide technical advice, expertise and assistance to other teams and projects about end user hardware and system software as directed by the Head of Technology.
- To invoke third party support in accordance with established processes and to assist and support third party contractors in their work for the company
