Energy Recovery Facilities are vital in supporting the UK’s ambition to reduce waste in an efficient and effective manner, helping to reduce the impact of waste on climate change. After reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible, our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) provide the infrastructure to efficiently recover energy from residual waste, meaning landfill becomes the last resort.

We have an opportunity in Beddington for a Tipping Hall Supervisor to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 07:45 - 16:15.

The salary for this role will be circa £43,000.00 per year, inclusive of shift allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

Joining our team as a Tipping Hall Supervisor, you will supervise the day to day operations of the tipping hall, including the management of the Fuel Reception Operators, to ensure efficient operations and that health and safety practices are maintained.

You’ll arrange for the delivered wastes to be deposited and pre-sorted, manage waste inspections and the removal of process wastes from the site. You’ll also ensure that shift handovers are undertaken effectively.

The Tipping Hall Supervisor will supervise and operate all mobile plant, machinery and overhead cranes when required and ensure that the site is operated effectively, whilst providing a safe working environment for all user and staff.

A key element of this role is the conduction of risk assessments and safety observations, and playing a role in the updating, reformatting and collaboration of Safe Operating Procedures. You will also monitor all documentation associated with waste inspections and ensure logs are completed accurately.

**Our ideal Tipping Hall Supervisor will have**:

- Experience of supervising and operating heavy mobile plant.
- Leadership abilities.
- An NVQ in waste or weighbridge management.
- Data input experience.
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable, but not essential).
