HR & Training Advisor

Valeco Recruitment are delighted due to expansion to bring this newly created opportunity reporting and supporting the Senior Management team in facilitating employee engagement while expanding across the Scottish Borders and US.

You will be improving and developing existing and new training programmes, run induction training and development for existing staff.

This is a real hands-on role where from employee engagement to training to recruitment, you will be involved in all aspects of employee happiness and being a key part in our client’s future growth plans.

What will your responsibilities be?
- Working with hiring managers and supporting throughout recruitment, onboarding, and development throughout each employee’s career path
- Improving and developing in-house training programmes and resources
- Building up relationships with key stakeholders
- Onboarding including improvement and inducting all new staff
- Managing all Health and Safety for stores
- Recruitment from start to onboarding
- Bringing ideas to the management on employee engagement
- Keeping all policies and procedures updated always, advising and educating on change and any improvements
- Supporting with the planning and relocation of staff
- Promote our clients brand and values and contribute to creating a positive and engaging culture for all

What are we looking for?
- Proven track record in executing training programmes from the ground up
- Experience in HR policies and best business practices
- First class communication and presentation skills, and be confident in presenting and working with those at an Executive level
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
- Positive individual who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves

Our client is offering this role remote some days per week, with travel to their offices in Duns and to be flexible in travelling to Edinburgh to engage and meet with employees.
