Morgan King are actively recruiting for an Estimator within the Print Industry on a permanent basis in the Huddersfield area. As a Print Industry Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining the cost and pricing structure for various print projects. Your analytical skills and understanding of print production processes will help guide the organization in making informed decisions regarding project feasibility and profitability.

**Responsibilities**:
**Estimation and Pricing**: Analyze client project specifications, including quantities, materials, printing methods, finishing options, and other relevant factors. Utilize your knowledge of print production processes to provide accurate cost estimates. Consider factors such as labor, materials, equipment usage, overhead, and desired profit margins.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and expectations. Collaborate with production managers to assess the feasibility of proposed projects and identify potential challenges that could impact cost or turnaround time.

**Data Analysis**: Maintain and update a database of production costs, material prices, and vendor rates. Analyze historical data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, ensuring that estimates are as accurate as possible.

**Client Communication**: Engage with clients to clarify project details and specifications, as well as to address any questions or concerns they might have about the estimate. Provide clear explanations of the pricing breakdown and any cost-related decisions.

**Competitive Analysis**: Keep abreast of industry trends, market pricing, and competitor offerings. Adjust your estimates accordingly to maintain a competitive edge while ensuring profitability.

**Cost Optimization**: Suggest alternative materials, production methods, or finishes that could reduce costs without compromising quality. Identify areas where efficiency improvements can be made to streamline the production process.

**Documentation**: Create detailed and comprehensive estimates that outline all costs associated with the project. Maintain accurate records of estimates, communications, and any changes to the project scope.

**Negotiation**: Participate in pricing negotiations with clients, taking into account the organization's pricing strategy, profitability goals, and the value provided to the client.

**Quality Assurance**: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that estimates align with the organization's quality standards and that the final product meets or exceeds client expectations.

**Qualifications**:

- A strong understanding of print production processes, including various printing methods, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools commonly used in the print industry.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate costs and profit margins.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with clients, sales teams, production managers, and vendors.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of market trends, pricing strategies, and industry benchmarks.
- Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during the estimation process.
- Experience in negotiating pricing and managing client expectations is a plus.

As a Print Industry Estimator, you will contribute to the organization's success by ensuring that print projects are priced competitively, accurately, and in alignment with both client requirements and company profitability objectives.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
