Junior Buyer

An opportunity has arisen at Valneva Scotland for a Junior Buyer.

The Junior Buyer role will be responsible for the chasing of Suppliers for Open Order Books and Information, updating the AX System and the Procurement Team on dates, comments, and information feedback from Suppliers. The role will be the conduit between the Suppliers and the Procurement Team. The Junior Buyer will work with the procurement Team and work to come up with the leanest way of getting the information and maintaining the AX system to an accurate degree. Supporting with the expediting of materials through SCM, ensuring that we feedback information to Suppliers & Internally to allow for fast information transfer. With responsibility for the creation / assist creation of Excel Documents, as well as PowerPoints to inform the SCM of current situations.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain System Accuracy
- Provide administrative support for the maintenance Open Order Reports
- Provide support for generating outputs to Procurement Manager
- Maintain and keep up to date the Action Tracker within appropriate Drives
- Provide administrative support for meetings, generating minutes / trackers and following up on actions
- Provide administrative support for site audit and inspections
- Be the point of contact to the business / suppliers as well as Supply Chain, need / have input, receiving messages and following up where appropriate
- Generate and present PowerPoint documentation as and when required/requested
- Represent the Supply Chain Department for the link between internal / external suppliers / customers
- To undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager in accordance with company requirements
- Ensure Department Compliance
- Plan and schedule timelines in line with the business and align with improvement opportunities
- Document and report progress regularly to Procurement Manager
- Adhere to appropriate regulations and quality procedures
- Maintain any related documentation; ensuring documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Develop and manage internal and external team and stakeholder relationships
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy of the systems
- Where required travel to suppliers to progress Purchase Orders
- Work with Procurement Team in relation to updating of key information from suppliers

**Experience**
- Understanding of Internal Systems
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems; MS project, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Strong ability to focus and prioritise
- An effective team player who recognises contribution and input levels required to promote success of the team and meet project deadlines
