Extruder Operator, £30,740

Bury St Edmunds, Full Time, Permanent

Tasks and responsibilities- To personally undertake offtake and related machinery maintenance as required within specified level of competence.- To manage and control inventory in terms of stock rotation and product identification to ensure waste product is kept to a minimum.- To ensure that all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with appropriate risk assessments and work instructions and that appropriate PPE is used.- Ensure all activities are within Health and Safety Regulations and Environmental Procedures.

Health & Safety
- Ensure all operations on shift are carried out safely and conform to safety guidelines and risk assessments.- Report risks and safety issues immediately. Ensure the use of appropriate PPE.

Bagging of speciality feeds and materials
- To maximise throughput while achieving agreed quality targets.- Ensuring correct use of bags, labels, pallets and weighing equipment.- Ensure production and inventory records are accurate and timely.- Ensure any rules for prevention of cross contamination are adhered to.- Carry out QC checks as per Work Instruction.

Maintenance
- Personally carry out preventative maintenance to machinery within agreed level of competence to maintain plant operation.- Contact appropriate engineering resource to assist with work required outside of agreed competence.

Cleaning
- Ensure all areas within the work area are kept clean and routine plant cleaning is carried out daily.

Quality System
- Ensure bagging operation conforms to work instructions and agreed targets for quality and service. This includes both products and procedures.

Your CV shows:
- FLT Licence (Must have)- Numerate, literate and articulate.- Ability to interpret quality and production data.- Experience in fast moving production/warehouse environment- Able to work rotating two shift pattern.
