Wagtales is an established dog walking and pet care services business operating within Manchester City Centre and surrounding areas since 2010.
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-employed Dog Walker to join us within the City Centre and Salford areas. This position is for a trustworthy, passionate, reliable and dedicated individual for dog walking and home visits for an immediate start. You must have your own vehicle and be prepared to have dogs in it to transport them safety to and from their walks and are required to carry out dog care routine’s including wipe paws, towel dry, fill water bowls, replenish food and use doggie coats as and when required.
You must have a good understanding of canine behaviour.
The position promises to be fun but also hard work, joining our team and walking a lovely gang of pooches of all shapes, sizes and temperaments.
A Wagtales Pet LTD walker will typically be a dog owner past or present, have a genuine desire to work with animals, have a reasonable level of fitness and good health and a love of the outdoors.
We do require an up-to date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate for all dog walkers, home sitters & boarders.

The following criteria must be met;
*Full UK driving licence and ownership of a suitable car/van in which either dog guards or crates can be fitted to ensure the safety of the dogs whilst travelling.
*Experience of and be strong enough to handle dogs of various breeds plus an understanding of canine behaviour, using positive reinforcement.
*Own a mobile phone and be willing to use to use it for work purposes, inc taking pictures and videos of dogs for our business social media as well as to access our online system.
- Live within the city centre or Salford area
- Remove and dispose of pet waste
- Opportunities for home boarding is also available
- Provide cover for team holidays and sickness
- Have a good knowledge of the area
*Able to cover the core hours 9.45am - 3pm. (Must be flexible to work extra hours if required).

*Fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.
*All equipment provided.
