**The Role**:
Join our dedicated hospital linen team, committed to providing exceptional service in NHS Lanarkshire. We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Linen Driver to support our efforts in ensuring the efficient management of linen services within the hospital. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of hygiene and patient care that we are known for.
- ** Delivery and Dispatch**: Safely despatch clean linen along with accurate despatch notes to specified departments within the hospital. Ensure timely collection of dirty linen, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- ** Vehicle Operation**: Drive allocated hospital vehicles for the transportation of linen. Responsible for the internal and external cleanliness of the vehicle, maintaining a professional standard at all times.
- ** Maintenance and Compliance**: Perform daily checks on the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and meets all safety standards. Refuel the van as needed. Complete relevant paperwork, including Time Allocation and Costing (TACO), and comply with supervisors' instructions.
- ** Customer Service**: Relay customer requests and feedback to the management team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a commitment to addressing the needs of the hospital staff and patients.
- ** Soil Sort Duties**: Assist in the sorting of soiled linen as required, following proper sorting protocols and safety measures.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- Valid driver's license (C1) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines diligently.
- Moving and Handling training, physically capable of lifting and moving items.

**Contract type**:
Permanent - Full time - 37.5 hours - (4 on 4 off)

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in at West of Scotland Laundry

The working pattern for this role is 4 days on and 4 days off with various shift patterns (6am - 5pm, 8am - 7pm, 9am - 8pm) and Saturday/Sundays are always 6am - 5pm
