**37.5 hours per week** You will be required to work alternate Saturdays with one say off during the week

We are working with a well-known Charity with a shop just outside Andover, who is looking for a Shop Manager to manage the daily operations of the charity shop and cafe.

You will be responsible for maximising store sales and profits. The shop is reliant on donations from the public, and you will be responsible for managing the flow of donations through to sale, maximising potential revenue.

You will manage a team of staff and volunteers, and together you will ensure the shop is always fully stocked, of good appearance and health and safety is always maintained.

**Key results areas**
- Achievement of store budget.
- Achievement of gift aid sign ups and donations.
- Maximise donations.
- As a senior manager, actively collaborate and engage with other functions and initiatives across the Trust.
- Create and Health and Safety conscious culture, ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and practices are implemented to meet legal and moral obligations.
- Attend and prepare for meetings and events, and write reports as required.
- Consistently role model charity’s behavioural competencies.
- Keep abreast of best practice as it applies to Mount’s operations and take responsibility for own personal development.
- Willingly engage with any other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.

**Person specification**

**Essential**
- Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and delegate work with volunteers and paid staff.
- Demonstratable experience of working within retail.
- Experience of managing a sales budget.
- Demonstratable experience of managing a team
- Ability to attract, recruit, train, develop and support a team of volunteers and paid staff.
- Demonstratable skills of good retail practice.
- Knowledge of retail sales environment, ideally charitable.
- Comfortable using till systems.

**Desirable**
- Working knowledge of welfare benefits and the funding of support services
- Food Hygiene level 2
