We are not just an ordinary care home

Want to work in a beautiful location where you get time to spend interacting with the people you care for? Are you currently an experienced Senior Support Worker or Care Home Supervisor looking for your next role? Or maybe you are a Care Home Manager looking for a different and diverse working environment.

We have 7 houses altogether each with between 3 -10 residents. We are looking for someone to take the lead in running one of our houses which a group of residents with learning disabilities call home. Corbenic offers warm and welcoming homes for our residents with opportunities to participate in a variety of on site workshops, such as garden, farm, estate, woodwork, bakery, craft, pottery and hill walking too.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Overall responsibility for the provision of high quality, person centered care and support and the well-being of residents in line with Corbenic’s value statement and fully aligned with current regulatory guidance and Corbenic Policies across key areas including:

- Administration of medication
- Incident management
- Safeguarding
- Care planning and risk assessment
- Management of resident finances
- Support, supervise and appraise staff in line with HR policies.
- Chair regular team meetings and ensure information is shared appropriately throughout the staff team
- Developing and maintaining supportive and positive relationships and contact with welfare guardians, befrienders, external agencies and Social Workers.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Demonstrates a suitable attitude towards care work and personal values align with Corbenic’s
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of learning disability
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial position
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience carrying leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
- Relevant qualification (SVQ3 in Health & Social care or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this.

Desirable Criteria:

- Experience working with adults in a residential learning disability setting
- Relevant Care Training
- SSSC Membership
- Full drivers’ license (manual)
- Please note: This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £29,635.84-£32,664.32 per year

**Experience**:

- care/disability/support: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- manual driving licence as no public transport (required)
