Our key markets include supplying specialist workwear to cleanroom and manufacturing organizations. Additionally, we manufacture and distribute cleanroom consumables worldwide, with plans for expansion.
**Job Role and Responsibilities**:
We're seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join us during this exciting phase of growth. The role involves managing the procurement of raw materials and services for our Consumables business unit, focusing on improving cost, quality, and availability to maximize business unit margin.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Adopting a category management approach
- Implementing cost-saving strategies
- Conducting competitive procurement exercises
- Negotiating advantageous supply arrangements
- Managing supplier performance
- Overseeing stock holding policy
- Providing procurement support to internal stakeholders
- Mentoring other team members
**Requirements**:
Essential:
- Working towards or desire to complete a Procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS)
- Experience in competitive tendering
- Knowledge of supplier and performance management
- Understanding of MRP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel
**Desirable**:
- MCIPS membership
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in strategic sourcing
- Familiarity with importing goods
- Cross-functional/project experience
- Full, valid UK/EU driving license

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
