**The Role**:
The Head of Airside Operations role is responsible for providing inspirational, proactive leadership to our Airside Team at Stansted airport. This role is pivotal to ensuring we are compliant, effective, and commercial solutions are developed and delivered effectively in line with business needs. Executing requirements of the CAA Aerodrome License and the Airport security Programme will be key to this role. As well as this, this role will be ensuring that our exciting new developments / processes in response to future capacity/ efficiency demands meet CAA and DfT regulatory requirements and are aligned with the airside vision of being operationally robust.

Three key areas this role is responsible for:

- Airside Operations & Security
- Airside Assurance
- Flight Operations

**You**:
The Head of Airside Operations is a nominated specified post responsible for the day-to-day operation of the airfield to the CAA, so responsibilities include leading on all Airside safety measures and implementing policies in support of the Airside management systems objectives. Leading the team to embrace and embody a culture of continuous improvement will be essential to this role. Proven experience in managing staff and resources to ensure compliance with and maintenance of airside safety and security standards, therefore aviation experience is strongly encouraged. Excellent leadership and influencing skills at all levels is necessary, with demonstrable experience of understanding airside / aircraft ground, flight operations and in particular, aerodrome licensing

A valid UK driving license and STAL Occupational Health medical check to enable the successful post holder to obtain an Airside Manoeuvring area licence.
