**Purpose of the position**

The Site Supervisor plays a key role within the business. The Minimum requirements for this role are as follows:

- NVQ Level 3 Trade certification with work supervision experience in the industry.
- SSSTS manager Card.
- Knowledge of building, construction including HSQE, 5 Years’ experience.
- Attention to details and maintaining quality control procedures.
- Ensuring site safety by making safety inspections.
- Problem solving, Sourcing materials.
- Monitoring progress of the project and checking and preparing reports.
- Keeping staff working safe, motivated, focused, whilst delivering quality.

Working under the Project Manager. He will plan, direct and instruct the construction works to be undertaken to programme, as well as handle any issues which arise during the construction process. He will be able to confidently lead the construction Team, will have excellent problem-solving skills, so they can finish in a timely fashion and delivering an extinguished, quality project within a safe manner.

Site Supervisor ensure ordering of supplies are scheduled in a timely fashion for completing the construction project in line with project needs and programme. These supplies range anywhere from consumable material’s to Plant items. Also Site Supervisors are responsible for checking receipt of all orders and handing in the necessary paperwork weekly and highlighting delivery problems as soon as they arise to the Project Manager

**Key responsibilities & duties**

The Site Supervisor lead, encourage and support teams and promote the company’s quality, environment and health safety management schemes and their adoption by staff and those of our customers

The company requires all personnel driving company vehicles to drive in accordance with the highway code, to obey traffic laws, maintain the vehicles and drive in a courteous manner in order to ensure the safety of themselves and others, all in accordance with company drivers handbook.

The Site Supervisor to work closely with Project Manager to ensure delivery of the project and also in conjunction with Client Administrator and the site Team, throughout productions, processes through to the end of shoots. Their key responsibility is to monitor the construction stages, in order to ensure that the projects are built to the standards of safety and quality demanded by the architect, and that they are completed on schedule and within budget, as directed by the Project Manager.

Before the project starts, the Site Supervisor under direction of the Project Manager commences preparing the site, carefully planning the work to be done and installing temporary offices and welfare for site staff, in accordance with project requirements.

While work is taking place, the Site Supervisor will monitor progress, oversee, call off the delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise. A Site Supervisor will also keep in close contact with members of their site team at all times, and liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners. He or she will also ensure that work complies with building regulations and health safety and welfare legislation as well as other legal requirements.

A Site Supervisor will also keep the Project Manager updated regularly on progress. Finally, a Site Supervisor also acts as the first point of contact for members of the public and sub-contractors.

It is the responsibility of the Site Supervisor to make sure that the deadline for completing work is met, and as Site Supervisor you will at least share some of the responsibility if someone on your site has an accident.

As the role/duties involves liaising with all site trades personnel the need good people skills is critical, demonstrating effective communications with confidence. The Site Supervisor needs to show creativeness and resourcefulness, as they often need to find solutions to construction problems while working under great time pressure. Various risks involved in a project should be identified and a mitigation and contingency plan needs to be developed with the Project Manager to ensure that the project is not derailed at any point.

The Site Supervisor shallcontrol, supervise all site skilled labour or subcontractors and hire plant so the project works to programme within a safe manner. Site records must be returned on a weekly basis as per the company’s ISO procedures.

Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in out/or around the site in accordance with organisational requirements of the programme of works and the site specification.

At all times you will be assertive and respectful to senior and junior colleagues and all team members, including the public during your employment.
