We are a financial institution based in London, UK. The core business is the issuance of structured products, targeted mainly to professional investors and wealthy individuals, which is a market underserved by traditional investment banks. Our vision isto be digital first, and to use innovation to compete with bigger financial institutions.

The simplest products are notes and certificates linked to custom indices. The most complex products are structures such as Reverse Convertibles, Capital guaranteed structures, and Phoenix Autocall, which are based on a basket of assets upon which variousconditions are observed at pre-determined dates.

During the last couple of years many systems have been developed by the QuantDev team; they are all cloud-based (AWS), mostly serverless-based (Python lambdas), microservice-based, and have been developed in Python, following software architecture and designbest practice; here are some of them:

- **Product Lifecycle management system**, which manages both the referential and transactional data of all product issued; this an API based system around a PostgresSQL DB, written in Python and deployed on AWS; the system is continuously extendedin an agile way to cater for the needs of the users, most of which are the Operations team
- **AutoHedging Platform (AHP)**: this books certificate trades and generates automatically hedging orders which are then submitted to Cirdan’s prime brokers for execution; this an API based system around a PostgresSQL DB, written in Python anddeployed on AWS; there is a plan to automate order execution further and integrate the system with other in-house risk management systems; the main users are the Structuring and Trading team
- **KID calculator**: this is a VAR-like financial simulator which calculates risk indicators and performance scenarios according to PRIIPS, a European standard; this an API based system written in Python and deployed on AWS
- **Document generation system**: this generates PDF documents for investors and for regulatory purpose, such as Term Sheets, Final Terms, KID, Target Market Assessment; it is based around an API based LATEX compiler which has been integratedto Cirdan Capital’s databases

These are some brand-new projects in our development pipeline:

- **Pricing platform**: the objective is to replace all the pricers which have been implemented organically throughout the last years with a consistent way of setting up products, calculating pricing and fees and providing reporting in a consistentway
- **FIX Execution engine**: we would like to develop a FIX engine to integrate with exchanges and brokers directly, so that we can automate the order handling and execution;
- **Custom index and product generation platform**: we would like to expose our index and product capabilities as a service through a digital platform
