**Overview**

H9 Technical are looking for an experienced **Production Team Leader** in Hoddesdon.

You will manage the Production function on a shift basis supporting the Operations & Maintenance Manager and Production Coordinator in all Production and Safety Rule related activities at the Station. In addition, you will ensure the CCGT is operated effectivelyin the UK electricity market, to ensure best value for the business.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Ensure CCGT plant is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
- Outside Office Hours responsible for the site management including security, health, safety, and the Environment
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements particularly the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
- Implement the site safety rules ensure safety from the system is achieved, and people are not placed in danger.
- Review the operational requirements of the CCGT to optimise performance, promote change and improvement.
- Communicate with the business commercial team/NGC to ensure CCGT meets its obligations in the Electricity market. Meet statutory obligation in accordance with REMIT
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of station policy and strategy.
- Develop staff understanding of the business and station's objectives.
- Develop staff through development plans and training programmes

**Skills & Experience**
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in the operation and maintenance of large generating plant
- Experience in managing a Safety Rules based system
- Ability to support other disciplines electrical, mechanical, control and instrumentation with work planning and plant diagnostics
- Ability to effectively work to ensure effective liaison with business teams (including Engineering, Performance, Commercial and other Stations)
- A sound understanding of the commercial and technical context of the business and the ability to balance technical requirements, risks, and costs.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Having a technical and commercial capability to optimise plant performance and contribution.
- Responsible for delivering safety form the system in accordance with site safety rules.
- Able to handle complex information and make informed decisions under pressure that impact H&S, plant availability and EBITDA.
- Supports direction of the Production team over the short and medium term via input to operational plans
- Develop and manage outage production plan that makes the plant safe, facilitates maintenance in excess of 1000 work tasks and 250 contractors, and ensures the plant is recommissioned to deliver availability targets
