My client has an exciting opportunity in the local area for a Stores Operative

Pay: £26,000 - £28,000
- Hours: 8 - 5 Monday - Friday

Key role responsibilities and tasks
- Goods in & despatch (UK & International), including courier bookings
- Customer returns for credit and repair including warranty support
- Purchasing
- Authorising purchasing invoices
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and courier companies
- Providing spare parts support for the UK and International operations teams
- Managing replenishments of Engineers car stock
- Maintaining correct stock levels (Top 250 stock control) within budget requirements
- Stock Taking and stock control responsibility
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and returns

Key experiences and skills
- A Pro-active, “can do” approach to work and its challenges is key in this very important
role. An ability and desire to adapt and learn the business as well as having the
confidence and know how to bring your own fresh ideas is vital.
skills, be organised and able to multitask as well as work to deadlines.
- Computer proficient and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of at least two
of the following
- Sage, Access, SAP, Oracle or equivalent ERP system, Excel, Word.
- Able to work well under pressure and most importantly to always show a high level of
customer care towards our customers.
- You must be able to demonstrate a track record in this kind of role and it would be an
advantage to have had front line customer service experience together with a proven
track record working within a spare parts or component supply industry.
- Qualifications are to be the acceptable standard for this position.
- You should be results driven and able to demonstrate a high degree of customer
awareness and satisfaction.
- You must be organised and promote good housekeeping in regard to the relevant
paperwork and documentation.
- Fork truck licence or experience would be an advantage but not essential and you
should be willing to undertake manual tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to team building.
