We are recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yardman to join a long-serving manufacturing unit, easily accessible from the North Birmingham area.
This is a growing business with high volumes of work all year round (meaning there will be no planned lay-off periods). All applicants for this role MUST hold experience as a FLT Counterbalance driver and have experience in a heavily outdoors-based yardmanrole.
The company are looking to offer long-term positions within a well-established team. You will be utilised on the CB truck at least 50% of your working day, and other opportunities may arise for you including manual sortation and use of the Reach truck.
- In date Forklift Counterbalance licence from the past 3 years
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Duties involve regular and repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting off the truck
Daily responsibilities for our yard labourer job include:

- Operating the forklift as required, moving heavy/ valuable stock in and out of high racking
- Helping with manual picking as required using an RF scan gun
- Manual handballing of stock as required
- General housekeeping duties
Hours of work are EITHER:
0800-1700 Monday to Friday
(May move to 12-hour continental shift in the next 6 months)
