We currently have vacancies available for Bulks Terminal Operatives within the Grain & Bulk Asset at the Port of Tilbury London Ltd, employed on a fixed night shift basis. There may be a requirement to work day / evening shifts during initial training period.
**About The Role**
**The Role**
Primarily involves loading and discharging bulk cargo vessels using heavy plant machinery and alternative duties as required.
A willingness to work overtime as per operational need is a key requirement of this position.
You will be trained on all machinery and equipment within the Bulks Department to become a multi skilled Bulks Terminal Operative.
You will have an RTITB or ITTSAR Volvo Loading shovel or a similar qualification or experience. Crane driving experience would be an advantage.
Clerical skills and some knowledge of computers would be useful. You must also be prepared to undertake an NVQ in Plant Operations.
A current driving licence is essential.
**Required Criteria**
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to fully operate all required mechanical handling equipment (MHE), including but not exclusively: Hydraulic Cranes, Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHCs), Telehandlers, Front Loading Shovels, Skid Steers, FLTs & Kovako pneumatic ship unloader
**Skills Needed**
Ability to Identify and Anticipate needs, Working Under Pressure, Crane and tower operation, Dump truck operation
