This is a permanent full-time role (37.5 hours per week) and requires an innovative individual who will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacy departments staff as part of a team. You will have the characteristics of a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills, a background in acute hospital pharmacy service provision such that you can provide administrative assistance to the Pharmacy department at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage the clinical administration of specific patient groups at RNOH
- Assisting the homecare pharmacy team to deliver the best care for our patients
- Responsibility for general administrative role within pharmacy department Manage all invoice related processes for the pharmacy department
- Assisting with handling of telephone enquiries
- Supporting senior pharmacy managers with management of the pharmacy department
- Providing support to the Trusts Drugs & Therapeutics Committee

**Working closely with team members, you will**:
Be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support for Homecare medicines used in the treatment of patients with rheumatological and metabolic conditions.

A major component of the role is maintaining data tracking systems, patient databases and records accurately and in a timely manner whilst ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.

Support the out-patient antimicrobial therapy team in the delivery of therapies and reimbursement from the relevant stakeholders

The postholder is responsible for efficient pharmacy management of home delivery of medications schemes, including maintenance of patient databases, and accurate and timely processing of invoices.

They will liaise with clinicians, multidisciplinary staff, the finance team and patients using their good communication skills whilst understanding the need for confidentiality. In addition, the post holder will provide assistance with patient registration onto the homecare schemes for a variety of providers and use a variety of different computer portals.

The post holder may also be required to assist with general invoicing duties in pharmacy and general administrative tasks and must be able to organise and manage their workload.

The post holder will be responsible for all the administrative aspects of the Drugs & Therapeutics Committee including co-ordination of the dates, venues and preparation of paperwork.
