On the back of multiple successes within our growing Major Projects division, we’re looking for a Principal Estimator to support the contractual delivery of a new, cutting edge renewables project here in the UK. You'll need a solid understanding of project commercials and the NEC 4 contract structure including the different payment structures and the associated contractual obligations/considerations.

**Role & Responsibility**:

- **Execution**: Use company-wide Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and commercial policies and procedures, standards and working practices to manage commercial activity (e.g. valuation of work, processing of changes to time) to support the company realising optimum commercial value in all activity.
- **Governance**:Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to company-wide & commercial BOPs to ensure that commercial management activity is conducted in line with standardised working procedures. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of commercial metrics to facilitate management decision making.
- **Innovation**:Look for opportunities for efficiency savings and development as well as contributing to project reviews/lessons learnt in order to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- **Communication**: Build and maintain an internal and external (client) relationship network in order to leverage expertise, contribute to decision making and satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- **People Development**: Take accountability for their own personal Professional Development Record as part of Doosan’s talent management ethos. Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of staff related to technical execution of their roles to support the development of the next level of talent within the organisation.

**Job Requirement**:

- MSc, BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or in a related commercial, technical or engineering discipline plus accredited post graduate training qualifying towards professional registration of a recognised professional institution (e.g. RICS); or equivalent, significant and related professional experience.
- Experience in contract administration procedures and knowledge of various forms of contract, including an understanding of contract law and UK construction laws.
- Knowledge of Doosan’s operating context and wider industry.
