Based in Luton, Bedfordshire our client who has enjoyed rapid growth over the years is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone with previous accounting administration experience, to be a part of the business' accounts team and assist with administrative support to all finance areas of the business.

The successful individual will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all different levels. They will be analytical with high attention to detail and can prioritise workload to meet multiple deadlines daily.

Computer skills including Microsoft packages and databases and knowledge of accounting and IT systems is also essential.

Job responsibilities:

- Allocation of daily cash
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Process purchase orders based on internal requests
- Credit card reconciliations, processing staff expenses and mileage claims
- Assisting with other Month End tasks including Prepayments, Fixed assets, intercompany & reviewing Overheads.
- Produce monthly accruals for Purchase Orders
- Run and analysis reports under Subcontractors and rechargeable consumables
- Review invoices with discrepancies from purchase ledger
- Communicating with suppliers in relation to pricing queries
- Update price lists on internal accounting system
- To provide assistance at the Year End audit
- To ensure the security of all information received
