Welder/plater

Here at EW Recruitment Services, we are working alongside a well established fabrication company in the Newton Aycliffe area who seeking dedicated and proficient Plater/Welder to join their team due to growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform welding and plating tasks on structural steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate techniques.
- Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder or similar role.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be expected to undertake a weld test if successful for an interview

This is a permanent day shift position working Monday to Friday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £16.00-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- MIG welding: 4 years (preferred)
- Fabrication: 4 years (preferred)
