**Senior M&E QS / M&E QS - Commercial projects - based in Newmarket, Suffolk**

A specialist Building Services Contractor is recruiting for a Senior M&E QS / M&E QS to be based in their office in Newmarket, Suffolk. They are an established company that provide Electrical and electrical engineering services for public and private sectorclients in commercial and industrial markets undertaking projects within various sectors including the MOD, pharmaceutical, health, education and leisure.
As the Senior M&E QS you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

- Subcontract administration
- Subcontract payment certifications
- Assessment and measurement of variations / compensation events
- Cost management and financial reporting
- Production and issue of contractual notices
- Final account negotiations
- Other commercial tasks set when required by the branch
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

- HNC/HND/BSC Qualified, or other relevant industry experience, ideally as a Senior M&E QS
- Ability to comply with contractual procedures and timescales
- Proficient in understanding contractual terms including knowledge of JCT/NEC suites of contract
- Experience with working on major projects as the lead commercial representative
- Measurement skills, together with sufficient knowledge of rates
- Good negotiation skills
- Must be competent and self-sufficient in managing and prioritising workload, such as ensuring reports, valuations and payment notices are issued on time
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal staff, and the wider supply chain, in a positive manner
- Ensure work is accessible to the project team / management, electronically filed and easy to identify
The salary for the role is £55K- £60K + £5,100 car Allowance 26 Days Holiday and 5% Pension
