Plater

We are currently seeking experienced and talented Platers / Fabricators / MIG Welders for an impressive, modern facility with immediate effect.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- MIG welding, fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment.
- Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
- Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
- Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
- Welding to a high quality.
- Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
- Adherence to all health & safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:

- Confident plater or fabricator
- Experience in welding, drilling, tapping & cutting
- Aptitude for interpretation of engineering drawings and working from scratch
- Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications.
- Confident MIG Welder
- Experience operating fabrication machinery
- Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
- Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch.

Working Hours / Benefits
- Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.00pm
- Friday 7.00am to 12.00pm
- Rate of pay - £16 per hour
- Overtime - 1.5x
- 12-week temp to perm
