Community Coach

Luton Town FC Community Trust is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Community Coaches to deliver fun, structured and enjoyable sessions which are inclusive and provide participants with the opportunity to reach their potential. The Community Coaches will plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate sessions and activities in formal and informal settings, such as our Talent Identification Programme, Premier League Kicks, Mini Hatters (3 - 5 year olds) and Holiday Camps. There is also the potential to work across our Football Development, health and schools programmes.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- To support with the delivery of the trust community programmes
- Contribute to ensuring all provision is delivered in a safe environment and all safeguarding and first aid regulations are adhered by reporting issues to relevant manager and partners.
- Ensure that any issues with equipment and first aid kits are reported to department manager.
- Assist the completion of the necessary monitoring requirements including attendance registers and participant data capture, Views and Salesforce.
- Proactively engage with participants, parents, partners and facility staff.
- Promote a positive and professional image at all times including appearance and punctuality etc.
- Have an understanding of Luton Town FC Community Trust projects and encourage additional participation.
- Attend performance reviews and training as requested.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by line manager or equivalent.
- Maintain a commitment to CPD in line with Senior Management expectations.
- Adhere to all Luton Town FC Community Trust policies and procedures.
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
**ESSENTIAL**
- FA level 1 Football Coaching.
- FA Emergency Aid.
- FA Safeguarding qualification.
- Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety.
- Experience of working with young people.
- Experience of working with disability groups, or young people whom may pose challenging behaviours.
- Experience of evaluating the effectiveness sessions and programmes.
- Able to communicate effectively with a range of people.
- Able to work in both a team and independently.
- Able to adapt sessions to participants.
- Able to encourage motivate and enthuse young people to participate in activities.
- A flexible attitude to working and willing to work evenings and weekends.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Basic IT skills to include Microsoft Office Products.
- Maintain a high standard of work.
**DESIRABLE**
- Minimum Level 2 Qualification in any other sport
- Knowledge of local communities and demographics
- Understanding of PE and school sport and the National Curriculum
