**HR Business Partner**
**Hourly Pay Rate**: £16.97 to £21.66
**Hours**: 37.5
**Length of the contract**: 3 months initially

**Location**: Home based working for NHS with frequent visits to offices in York and Scarborough

Gi Group Scarborough are currently seeking to appoint a HR Business Partner to help drive good people management practice and forward-thinking employment solutions.
Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner
- Responsible for the management and delivery of a timely, comprehensive, proactive and professional operational HR service based on good HR practice and in line with employment legislation
- Support the Workforce Lead and Head of Employee Relations, adding value through achieving organisational objectives and delivering the Workforce and Organisational Development Strategy
- Contribute to the workforce strategy and business planning process, providing professional, customer-focused advice and support to managers and staff across the organisation
- Coach and influence managers to develop their people management and leadership skills
- Support Workforce Leads and the Head of Employee Relations to liaise with legal representatives on highly complex employee relations and employment tribunal cases
- Network and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop, review and amend key HR policies and procedures
- Support the development of the workforce, talent management, wellbeing and engagement plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives

Key Skills and Experience:

- Chartered CIPD Membership
- Educated to degree level and professional HR qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience as a HR specialist in a complex multi professional organisation
- Significant experience of effectively dealing with complex employee relations issues including dismissals, organisational change and TUPE
- Experience of trade union partnership working in a complex organisation
- Knowledge of current employment law and HR good practice, and ability to translate into practice
- Understanding and experience using workforce metrics to direct workforce plans and priorities
- Previous experience of effectively managing a team
- Experience of taking a lead on projects, writing reports and implementing recommendations from these
- Ability to analyse and interpret highly complex information and data
- Ability to assess risks appropriately and develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate the risk
