We have a unique opportunity to join us as an Aeromedical Examiner, a senior clinician within our British Airways Health Service (BAHS).
- You will be assisted by high-performing Nursing and Business Support teams
- Regular continuing professional development opportunities and group case discussions with peers and other OH professional colleagues within the department
- Empowerment to make decisions but with senior support always available
- Working within a SEQOHS accredited OH service (since January 2015)

**Accountabilities**
- Class 1 pilot medicals
- Initial cabin crew medicals
- DVLA group 2 and aircraft taxi medicals for engineering/ground staff
- Supporting pilot medical fitness by providing aeromedical/health advice; reviewing medical reports; CAA case referrals; return to work assessments
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Medical support and advice to BAHS Occupational Health Practice Nurses
- Possibility of additional accountabilities dependent on personal professional expertise and interests

**Qualifications / experience**
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice in the UK
- Previous general practice or other general medical experience
- Qualifications in Aviation Medicine (DAvMed or Basic and Advanced courses in Aviation Medicine, King’s College London, or equivalent)
- Authorisation and experience as an aeromedical examiner for the UK CAA - essential (class 1 AME preferred but will consider class 2 with advanced course wishing to upgrade)
- Occupational health qualifications and experience
- Experience of health issues associated with flying and international travel
