**Summary**

UKPS are one of the UK’s largest plumbing and heating distributors; and the largest independent merchant with over 320 sites.

We are looking for starter to join our team as a Apprentice. This is a varied role with plenty of opportunities to develop your customer service, sales skills and product knowledge.

**Full Vacancy Description**

As an apprentice you will:

- Work as part of the team to ensure we maintain great service for all our customers
- Undertake placements in areas of the business to develop your knowledge and skills
- Have a structured training programme and development plan in place
- Be supported by your manager and Training team to help you progress

The hourly wage will be £5.50 per hour for new starters (£220/week)

Salary progression structure: Salary will rise to £6.25 per hour after 6 months and further pay review after 12 months.

Bonus scheme: All colleagues are eligible for our annual bonus scheme.

Working hours: 40 hours per week (Under 18’s). 42.5 hours per week including some Saturday mornings (Over 18)

**Desired Skills**

No technical experience is required for this role, we will help support you to develop these skills during your Apprenticeship.

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5 or C) Desired

**Future prospects**

All our apprentices are employed on a full time permanent contract with a view to starting a long term career within our business.

Once your apprenticeship is completed further training and development will continue alongside your personal development plan.
