**About us**

We are the largert GP surgery in Fife with just under 19,000 patients split over 2 sites (Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay). We provide a wide and varied General Practice service with our our goal to provide exceptional care to our patients with empathy, professionalism and respect at the heart of everything we do.
- **Part-time, 30 hours per week Monday to Friday (08:30 - 15:30 with one hour lunch)**_

As the first point of contact for patients this role requires someone who is confident dealing with the public and possesses excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and competent IT skills. You must also be highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to prioritise your workload. You will represent the Practice to the highest standard.

**Examples of sphere of responsibility**:

- Booking appointments by telephone or face to face
- Handling and dealing with patient prescription requests
- Entering patients details onto clinical IT systems
- Directing people where to go within the Practice and advising patients on other healthcare agencies
- Booking patients in when attending for appointments
- Answering queries from patients and other staff members
- Filing and handling of patients clinical documents
- Following up on patients and clinician requests
- Photocopying and scanning of documents
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Is aware of practice protocols and policies

It is essential you are a self motivated and enthusiastic team worker with a willingness to learn. You will be supported in your role by our reception supervisor and practice manager to ensure you receive all the training to develop in this role.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.67 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime
