Our Meallmore team at Leven Beach are ready to warmly welcome you as a Kitchen Assistant within their care home. Located on the promenade of the seaside town of Leven in Fife, Leven Beach enjoys picturesque views across the Firth of Forth, adding to the charm of its location. This purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.

As a Kitchen Assistant, Meallmore will allocate you your own mentor, as well as a comprehensive induction process. But why stop there? Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be a Sous Chef, Cook, or Head Chef, the choice is yours

**Your role as a Meallmore Kitchen Assistant will include**:

- Keeping the kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Supporting the catering team with basic food preparation as they create seasonal meals for our residents
- Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
- Assist with specialist dietary requirements
- Serve nutritional meals

**Required skills**:

- Basic knowledge of food preparation
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour + benefits + overtime

Hours: 16 hours per week working Saturday & Sunday, 9.30 am - 6 pm
