Learner Experience Principal, Associate and Leader

Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent of education) with extensive experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must have a background in both learning, learner/user experience design practices and learning technology at global scale.
- Must understand the fundamentals of learning design, as well as be familiar with the latest tools and trends in educational software and online learning platforms.
- Ability to travel as required for appropriate key meetings and forums (around 10% of the time).
As a member of the Associate & Leader Experience (ALE) Product Team the Learner Experience Leader is responsible for turning training courses into immersive learning experiences that enable learning to be a driver of organizational culture. This role, working closely with product, design, coordination and facilitation teams, will define, plan and continuously evaluate the end to end learner journey ensuring every engagement with the learner is reinforcing learning objectives. This includes reviewing of learning physical environment, communications, course materials, reinforcement mechanisms, etc. to determine potential defects or areas for clarity to delivery on desired outcome.
Key job responsibilities
- Conducts learner research to understand learner needs behaviors and preferences in the context of their learning environment as well as their day to day work environment. This includes observing interactions, conducting interviews and analyzing data to inform design decisions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Learning Experience Designers, developers, product teams, facilitators and coordinators brainstorms and conceptualizes immersive experiences that align with learning objectives and learner requirements.
- Designing intuitive and immersive learner interactions within in person, virtual, augmented, synchronous and asynchronous environments. This involves creating wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to map out learner experience flows and interactions.
- Planning and conducting learner testing sessions to gather feedback and insights on the impact and effectiveness of immersive experiences. Iterating on designs based on learner feedback to improve engagement, satisfaction and impact.
- Collaborating with Learning Experience Designers to create appealing and cohesive immersive experiences. This includes selecting appropriate modalities to enhance the learner experience.
- Ensuring that immersive experiences are usable and accessible to a wide range of learners across WWOps, considering factors such as accommodating diverse learner needs, line of business, regional and cultural differences.
- Creating rapid prototypes and iterating on design concepts to explore different ideas and refine the immersive experience based on learner feedback and product constraints (e.g. timelines, resources, etc).
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Learning Experiences Designers, Developers and Product Team, to effectively communicate design ideas and requirements. Collaborating throughout the development process to ensure the vision and learner experience are maintained.
