We are currently recruiting for a Disclosure Administrator to work at the headquarters of Gwent Police in Cwmbram.

You will be working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 37 hours a week.

This role is to work as part of a team in processing requests for information and to assist in the capturing and inputting of data, in accordance with local and national legislative requirements.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To ensure all Police Information is processed for a policing purpose in accordance with legislation and guidance
- To enter and retrieve information using Police systems to ensure that records are being processed accurately, timely and proportionately in accordance with local and national legislative requirements.
- To compile reports, correspondence and summaries of relevant information in order to respond to requests.
- To manage fluctuating workloads as appropriate to ensure local and national targets are attained
- To respond to enquiries in writing or orally, in accordance with local and national legislative requirements.
- To Collate, produce and circulate statistical and other information.
- To effectively engage with the public and ensure that a customer-focused service is delivered.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Minimum of five grade A-C GCSE's or the equivalent minimum standards or possess relevant experience working in the office environment.
- Must have proficient level of working with IT systems.
- Must have sound working knowledge of the interrogation, retrieval and interpretation of information.
- Must have a sound working knowledge of legislation affecting the processing of information.
- Level 1 Welsh essential (training will be given). Welsh language skills Level 2 and above are desirable
