An independent nursery group based in Tottenham, North London, providing an inclusive, multi-cultural programme which reflects the community it serves, valuing diversity for the enhanced experience and knowledge it brings.

We understand the stresses of childcare and our aim is to make life easy for parents by offering flexible, all-inclusive childcare that caters for all your child’s needs, from babies and toddlers, through to preschool.

Our nurseries are open from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on Bank Holidays, one week of the Christmas period and one week at the end of August.

Swift childcare is an award winning apprenticeship provider established over 10 years ago now. That’s why our apprenticeship programs are developed to provide people with the opportunity to learn everything they need to now to build a successful career in childcare to make a difference to future generations.

**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
- Assisting the facility in meeting OFSTED requirements, which will also benefit in the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Being a team player.
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children appropriately to meet the Apprenticeship requirements.
- Taking part in First Aid training as required.
- Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in the Apprenticeship Standards or appropriate legal requirements as required within the childcare setting.
- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to during the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery and management
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations towards your Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- Being creative and enthusiastic.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Working within confidentiality guidelines to be able to achieve all of the above to complete the Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship. This Apprenticeship will open the doors to a variety of future roles within the Childcare Sector.

All nurseries swift childcare work with are located near excellent transport links and amenities.

**Training to be provided**:
Level 3 - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.

**Desired Skills**

- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Creative, imaginative and willing to get stuck in
- Patience and a caring nature
- At least 6 months recent experience of working full-time in a childcare setting

**Desired Personal Qualities**:
Applicants should have a desire to develop and enhance their childcare skills whilst working in a supportive nursery setting. This role is ideal for anybody who has a genuine passion for working with children and that is keen to learn and progress in their own professional development. The successful applicant will be a positive role model and enthusiastic individual.

**Desired Qualifications**:
**Level 3**

Successful applicants will:

- Ideally be a qualified Level 2 NVQ Childcare Practitioner
- Have grade C/4 or above in English and Maths GCSE, or equivalent, or Functional Skills Level 2
- Have at least 6 months recent experience of working full-time in a childcare setting

**Future Prospects**:
**Level 3**

Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a permanent position upon successful completion.
