**COOK, KATE’S KITCHEN, ANNAN**

**Monday - Friday with a degree of flexibility.**

**Closing date**: 5pm on Monday 13th February

**Start date**: As soon as possible

**Accountable to Kate’s Kitchen Manager,**

Responsibility for all kitchen health and safety

Preparing 2 course lunch for approx. 45 covers 2 days per week and snack lunch 2 days per week

Preparing approximately 6 meals for elderly 5 days per week Monday to Friday

Control of nutritious menu’s based on food donations

Lead, instruct and facilitate volunteers in kitchen

Monitoring stock take and stock rotation

Control of all food that leaves the kitchen

Responsible for health and hygiene of kitchen

Responsible of all health and hygiene of pantry including fridge freezers

In collaboration with other staff maintain foodbank store

Record all relevant data on Kate’s Kitchen database

Participate fully in team meetings and training

Support service users in raising awareness of health and safety issues

Comply with all health and safety legislation and organisational policies

Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self, other members of staff, service users and other persons.

To comply with the Kate’s Kitchen lone working policy and procedures

Work within budget guidelines

**Essential Criteria**

Health & Hygiene Level III qualification

Supervisory experience in the catering industry

Excellent verbal communication skills

Experience of database

Ability to work closely with volunteers

Driving License Holder

Sense of Humour

**Desirable Criteria**

An understanding of how this role supports the delivery of our charitable outputs

Experience of working in a Third Sector organisation

Experience of working with volunteers

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £11.69 per hour
