Our client, a Group of Small Residential Children’s Homeswithin Ipswich and Leiston, Suffolk is looking for an Administrator.

They focus on delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and young people.

**Duties will include, but will not be limited to**:

- Advice on the policies and procedures to staff.
- Work with managers to ensure accurate sickness and absence records
- Ensure Payroll is managed and respond to any issues
- Administrative support to development of Staff
- Ensure staff employee handbook is updated and provided to all staff
- Advice to users on HR systems including resolving or supporting the resolution of problems related to HR matters
- Ensure that all matters relating to the safer recruitment and retention of staff is undertaken, Including but not limited to:

- Application and recruitment checks, recording and storing
- Record supervision and appraisal records for staff
- Personnel files are keep fully up to date
- Ensure the company is GDPR compliant
- Ensure that all Disciplinary and grievance matters are dealt with
- Ensure that all regular health and safety checks for the company are booked and completed in time, Including but not limited to:

- Health and Safety and Fire safety annual risk assessment
- PAT testing of electrical equipment
- Ensure all records and notifications are kept regarding COSSH and RIDDOR
- Ensure petty cash and budget reconciliation

**What we require**:

- Experience of safer recruitment procedures
- Experience of payroll and AL
- Experience of undertaking and following disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Experience and understanding of employment law in relation to employee rights
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Children legislation and how this interacts with employment law
- Experience of Health and Safety matters. COSHH, RIDDOR, Fire safety
- Preferable to be a member of CIPD.

**Skills and abilities**
- Good administrative and communications skills
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage time effectively
- Ability to provide basic advice on employment terms, conditions, policies and procedures
- Deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information.
