BMC Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working alongside an established organisation in the Shildon area, who are looking to recruit an Credit Controller on a permanent Basis.

Principal Purpose
- Supports all UK AR Ledgers for all UK companies
- Maintain positive relationships with customers
- Monitors customer credit worthiness and reports on changes in status or patterns
- Responsible for maintaining accurate AR ledgers and ensure integrity with GLs
- Provides management with AR analysis as required
- Supports a culture where finance is a service function that adds value and is not seen as a business overhead
- Raising Credit Notes as required
Principal Elements
- Supports all Wilsonart UK AR ledgers
- Manages customers to pay to agreed credit terms
- Monitors customer credit worthiness and flags any changes in status to management
- Resolves queries and problems with customers or documentation in a timely fashion
- Executes daily, month and year end routines and processes
**Requirements**:
- 2 years' experience in working in AR
- Highly proficient ERP / IT skills particularly regarding AR
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
- An analytical, challenging mindset
- Problem solving, can do attitude
- Commercial and business awareness
- Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
- Process orientated, suggests and implements process improvements
