Speech and Language Therapist

Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a Speech and Language Therapist for one of our clients based in Cambridgeshire. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will join a neurorehabilitation service supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries or conditions such as Motor Neuron Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Guillain-Barre syndrome.

This is a full-time, permanent position and suitable for Speech and Language Therapists working at band 6/7 level.

The role:

- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Completing speech, communication, swallowing and eating assessments
- Planning and implementing interventions
- Managing a caseload of service users with Dysphagia, tracheostomies, communication difficulties

The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:

- Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Experience of supporting a similar client group previously
- Ideally has experience in communication aids and assistive technology
