Senior Surf Coach

The Wave is a slice of the ocean inland, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the joy of blue health and its many benefits. _
- Our 180m long surfing lake is powered by Wavegarden. This ground-breaking technology can generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hour, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height. We can produce a new wave every 8-10 seconds._

As a **Senior Coach **at The Wave, you are a key part of the coaching team but will also work alongside the Surf Operations Manager in order to execute a safe and fun surfing experience to all our visitors. You will be a role model to the team, demonstrating best practice in all tasks. You will observe, coach and provide feedback to the team to ensure high standards are met every day. In addition, you will be expected to assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

**Our Senior Coaches will**:

- Hold an ISA L2 qualification.
- Coach beginner, Waikiki and intermediate lessons and advanced coaching.
- Act as a Surf Ops shift leader when needed.
- Assist in the recruitment and induction of new Surf Coaches as well as training them to be successful in their role.
- Hold 1:1s, check ins and reviews of the Surf Coach team.
- Driving excellence within the coaching team, making sure all experiences are delivered the highest standard.
- Support The Wave in identifying and developing new surf experiences.
- Use your position as a platform to inform and engage our visitors about all our services at The Wave and have great site knowledge.

You must Maintain an ISA level 2 qualification, relevant lifeguard qualification and provide a clear DBS check prior to commencing work with us. Our coaches have a passion for sharing the joy of surfing, great communications skills, and make health and safety their top priority.
