**The role**
As an Armourer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of weapons and armour systems, assemblies and general equipment.

Day to day, you’ll be part of a small team who book in jobs, receive back equipment, check for damage and repair where necessary. You’ll also prepare weapons and vehicles for training ensuring all jobs are planned accordingly to meet the required deadline.
- Carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on the job card in accordance with the customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, processes and other approved technical publications.
- Diagnose, inspect and assess weapon systems, vehicles and associated mechanical / electrical / armour equipment in line with skills & competency.
- Ensure all job transactions are accurately recorded and carried out in accordance with current ERP processes and that work completed and time taken to complete the job is submitted daily to the department / section Supervisor.
- Completion of vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates / reports to current standards.

**Essential experience of the Armourer**:

- Armoury experience
- Engineering background

This is a full time role based at our Donnington site.

**Qualifications for the Armourer**:

- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline
