**IT Graduate opportunity - Support Technician Role**

Beyond the hands-on investigation and resolution of both trivial and complex hardware and software issues, this is broad role that will suit an individual passionate about infrastructural support and looking at a professional and personal development path that allows involvement in 2nd line support but also working closely with the Infrastructure Support Specialist (3rd Level) to influence the future strategy of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure to truly support the future success of the business.
**Role will include**:

- Support ticketing systems/help desk working in complex high-volume technical support environment.
- Building and deploying Windows 10 desktop hardware and software PC support.
- Providing network support for Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, DNS, Active Directory.
- Managing and maintaining VMware-based solutions, managing backups (Veeam).
- Patching software (WSUS) and AV management.
- Troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills.
- Networking and infrastructure security, including firewalls (Sophos), PCI-DSS, DDoS, Corporate networks, LAN switching, Wi-Fi.

- A grounded individual with an ability to prioritise, and a good understanding of urgency and importance when it comes solving business issues.
- A self-starter with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Skill full in providing good clear and concise communication.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, and ability to fit well into a multifunctional team.
- Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required.
